A graduate of the Glasgow School of Art where he studied Art and Architecture between 1979 and 1983, Adrian Wiszniewski, one of the “New Glasgow Boys” of the late 20th century, is now reckoned to be amongst the foremost figures in contemporary Scottish painting. Born in 1958, Wiszniewski began exhibiting his colourful and large-scale pictures in Glasgow and London the year after he graduated and his work can now be found in some of the world’s most prestigious galleries and institutions, including the Gallery of Modern Art, New York, the Metropolitan Museum, New York, the Setagaya Museum, Tokyo, the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art, Tate Britain and the Victoria and Albert Museum, in London.
Art Alba was established in London in 1983 before moving to Tokyo in 1996 and Hong Kong in 2002.
