LaCoe, born into a family of artists in 1932 in Kansas, USA, is a legendary figure among collectors of fine platinum photographs. Inspired by masters Anne Brigman, Edward Weston, Ruth Bernhard, and Imogen Cunningham, he often included nudes in his landscapes. With a superlative eye and excellent technique, he produced many first-class photographs. However, it was his commitment to mastery of the platinum process that make his images so rare. He would strive endlessly to get the perfect print and orders placed could sometimes take months to arrive. The wait was always worth it! His prints are technically superb, each by definition unique and with a fantastic tonal range.
Art Alba was established in London in 1983 before moving to Tokyo in 1996 and Hong Kong in 2002.
